Gaurs International School is an Sports Oriented School in Greater Noida (West). The School have been awareded in various Inter School Sports Events for Cricket, Basketball, Football Badminton, Boxing, Table Tennis, Shooting, Carom & Chess etc.

Not only this, Gaurs International School was awarded for BEST SCHOOL in SPORTS INFRASTRUCTURE in INDIA by PEFI.

The Students of Gaurs International School have a privilege of using the facilities within the school hours as and when required within the time table for Inter House Competitions, Inter-School Competitions & Sports Day under school supervision.

The BADMINTON COURT has been made as per the INTERNATIONAL standards. It has a specialized flooring which is hard wearing and multipurpose giving optimum shock-absorption, resilience and friction. The students are exposed to playing Badminton to develop focus and agility as well as stamina.

Boxing is also available as school sport in order to built great boxers and wrestlers of tomorrow. We have well equipped boxing ring abiding all necessary safety measures to train our students.

Table Tennis is offered as part of sports activity. Students enjoy the benefits of playing this invigorating game. Table Tennis improves hand-eye coordination and makes children physically fit. Both gross and fine muscle movements are improved. Playing table tennis is a cardiovascular and aerobic activity with great beneficial effects not only for the joints and muscles, but also over the internal organs

GIS took its first step towards popularizing shooting at the school level with the launch of an indoor shooting range. Equipped with the usual shooting paraphernalia and "qualified instructors to oversee and train students", the facility has a range of around 15 meters will be used as a training area to produce new world champions.

Carom is one of the most popular games offered for the students.Carrom is also a scientific game and is based on physics and geometry. It requires perception of angles, deftness of touch, keen sight and superlative control of nerves. The students’ practice skills like counting, reading, visual perception, and eye hand coordination are enabled with the help of a game of Carrom.

Chess is also offered as sports at GIS. Chess is one game that teaches child patience and willpower. It improves a child’s ability to interact with his opponent albeit in a silent way. This enhances confidence as well as self-esteem and makes one a good listener. It develops mental concentration to reach the goal in an organized way. Chess room provides full opportunity for the same

The students at GIS are exposed to lot of running and jumping, which provides a good physical workout with the help of a Basketball game. Football gives a chance to use up surplus energy, builds physical dexterity and stamina. It also increases aerobic capacity and cardiovascular health; lowers body fat and improves muscle tone; builds strength, flexibility and endurance; increases muscle and bone strength and improves health due to shifts between walking, running and sprinting. Football is one of the most popular games.Basketball is one of the most popular sports in the world. It is a fast moving game that involves a lot of variety, including shooting, dribbling, passing, rebounding, defense and much more. It is not only attractive to children but also improve aim and balance. Basketball helps to burn calories (an hour of basketball can burn 630–750 calories), builds endurance, develop concentration and self-discipline and above all build up muscle.
